Lars Trier and his Kehlet Classic

“When you hold a Kehlet Classic guitar, you immediately notice that the craftsmanship is immaculate. Only the finest woods have been used.

Then you realise how easy it is to play. It fits into your hands, it fits against your body - the neck and the fretboard make life and playing a lot easier than most of the quality instruments I ever played.
The tone reacts warmly and precisely to each single note. The Kehlet Classic is a very beautiful and very playable instrument,” says Lars Trier.

Lars Trier was educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Music as a student of professor Per-Olof Johnsen. He made his debut in 1978 as the first guitarist of the soloist class and is now a lecturer at the Academy.

Lars Trier was a prize winner in the Nordic Musicians? Competition in 1975 and was a finalist in the global “Hommage a André Ségovia” competition in 1981, with Andres Segovia on the jury. In 1978, he received the Carl Nielsen Scholarship. As a classical guitarist, he has recorded extensively, both as a soloist and with chamber orchestras.

In the field of rhythmic and improvisational music, Lars Trier has worked extensively as a composer and producer. With Kim Menzer, he recorded the best-selling CDs “Skywalks” and “Kiss the Forest”. He also forms a duo with flamenco/latin guitarist Christian Sievert. The duo has released the CDs “The Bird in The Oak” and “Nocturne”.

Lars Trier has performed in most European countries, in New York and in the Carribean.
